Developing habits to becoming a successful firefighter and leader

Firefighter Training Episode 056 of the FirefighterToolbox podcast is about making a consistent and continuous effort to investing in your future in the fire service.

Chief Bobby Halton

Fire Chief Bobby Halton (ret.) is currently Editor In Chief of Fire Engineering Magazine and education director of the Fire Department Instructors Conference (FDIC). Chief Halton began his career in structural firefighting with the Albuquerque Fire Department and rose through the ranks to include chief of training. Bobby was chief of operations until his retirement from Albuquerque in 2004. He then became chief of the Coppell (TX) Fire Department, Bobby left Coppell to assume the duties as editor in chief of Fire Engineering Magazine.

Chief Halton is a graduate of the University of New Mexico, left a member in good standing with the International Association of Fire Fighters, is a member of the International Association of Fire Chiefs, and has served on several of the National Fire Protection Association technical committees. He is active with the National Fallen Firefighters the Congressional Fire Services Institute and the Firefighters Cancer Support Network. He has done extensive speaking and training for the fire service in the United States and internationally.

Capt. Angela Hughes

Angela Hughes began her experience with the career Fire Service in 1989 as a Paramedic for the Baltimore City Fire Department. She was hired by Baltimore County in 1992 and functioned as a Paramedic, Preceptor/Coach, Firefighter, and Fire Marshal. Hughes’ current rank is Fire Captain assigned to Station 54 in Baltimore County Maryland.

As the co-founder of the Baltimore County Women in the Fire Service she continues to mentor women and currently serves as the President of the International Association of Women in Fire and Emergency Services. Her Committee work includes the USFA Severity of House Fires, FEMA grant reviews, VCOS Diversity and Inclusion, National Fallen Firefighters Tampa 2, NFFF Suicide Symposium and most recently NFPA Needs Assessment Summit.

Captain Hughes has been published in Fire Engineering and has spoken several fire service venues.

Looking at a map from Pakistan, and looking at some pictures from a Christian Foundation, calling everyone to their world, a world were their main religion is other, neglected by their government, most of their people, if not, those who have also betrayed their religion, alone, in between wars and ideological wars, impoverished by their location, in pain. Their world is lost, hunted by criminals, so called crusaders in their own land, terrorist and slavery, class division and collateral war effects, it gives me the perception we, those who spend more of their life wondering the universe, would have to trust some of their funding, in order to give them at least a hundred dollars a month, and family by family, member by member, we could help those in the other world, become our friends and have a bigger, better family of foundations and members...

But then, regardless the logic, one must first see them in their governmental list of foundations.

So that said, I am creating a foundation right now, called CieloMima, a non-for profit organization centered in helping children to get their nutrients and education, the community around to be proactive in their children's education and social being, as well as job training and job search, also it would implement its own direct democracy platform when deciding, each month, what topics and issues to target, as well as to target all angles of socio-economical problems, and solve them forming groups within the community. and so on.

This is just me thinking, i would need people who shares the same principle to get this done, and everything, even the name, not the direct democracy platform can be changed to suit the problems or issues.

This idea is a continuation of what my grandmother taught me, and what i saw when i was Occupying, so yes, the occupy movement is giving us, societies, something back in return to all the 'damages' done, by just protesting our problems to a system of intricate rules, so complex and convoluted, the principal issues don't get to the people in charge, problems of this representative democracy, and the solutions waste more than the time needed to fix them as well as the money. such a shame, but that's the world we are living, something this organization is being conceive to fix or change, of course its nature and nurture will decide in time whats gonna be.

In the future I am envisioning our own internet, our own satellites and our own democratic platform. Why? well, we have the tools everywhere, that's why.

but that's just like thinking about going to Mars, we have the capability but not the resources, and that's gonna always be the problem unless there is an industry working for it, so I have also envisioned an industry, where each worker, since it's founded by direct democracy, has the voice to guide it to where the people want. That said, yes it has to have some stages, were there's gonna be a council of managers, a council of supervisors and a council of assistants, as well as the council of maintenance. That ways no one would mess with it unless they work in the industry.

The good thing about the industry is that it give the possibility to grow, as if it works, and that the whole industry workforce decision to do, it could duplicate, and all those Manager could even retire and get the same moneys, the Supervisor could also become manager, the Assistance Supervisor and so on, but that depends in themselves done in each council meetings, and in each monthly meeting. and meetings are finished with vote done with the direct democracy platform.

Of course, this is just wishful thinking, today, but what are ideas, visions if not the reflection of that one is, and if one is what it thinks, then what's the problem of thinking if eventually, someday, something, at least the mildest thing done is pro that idea, that vision one thinks, therefore love.

Love perceived of the connection of one thing after another, and the continuation of something one enjoys doing, and what one is doing is reinforced with passion and if all those elements are for the well being of each community, each locality and it could be sufficient and sustainable, green and progressive, then, at least its just a helpful thinking so far.

One last thing, before jumping the internets and finding how to create a website from scratch, is that, a product done for the benefit of nature, and nature then privatizing it and dividing people for its benefits it's a no-no in this idea, and in the extremes of it, if something was done for that benefit and someone is using it to their own benefit, well, the same forces will be used against them. And that's a topic of whether one wants to resist or being eaten by the neo-colionalist system we all know its in charge of all our business, as some people control the resources and want to keep it like that forever, so be aware of them and operate them without them being able to say no to your work.

Reforma Policial:

Cada agente oficial comienza con no menos de $30 mil  al año, segun sus certificados adicionales, y sus cursos realidados por mes.

Ejemplos de certificados: un rokie sin nada, solo el entrenamiento de policia gana $30k per year. One with that, plus some aditional certifications: Civil obedience trainning, Civil Disobidience Trainning, Cultural ethics certification, Language certifications per level, etc.

Ejemplos de cursos: Curso para evitar lesiones a civiles, sea mentales como fisicas, Curso para aprender a vivir con PTSD y regular su peso extra dentro de la agencia, Curso del como manejar efectivamente eventos creados por casos donde hubo discrepancia policial, etc.

Equipos necesarios:

⦁ Camaras: google cameras or on clothes.

Como manejar la agencia y casos locales, segun pronostico o especulacion.

⦁ REFORMA PENITENCIERA
La reforma penitenciera hace uso del Warren como Parlamento entre distintos empleados del gobierno actual, o administracion actual de consejos de penitencieros y empleados del gobierrno.

* La ciudad tenga la ley escrita, y que los cargos sean reportados.
* La carcel como forma de ciudad.

El que lucharia por su cargo es el Warren actual y su conglomerada forma de vida.

* La importancia, significa mas dinero para las carceles. que en si seran controladas por el sindicato de Warrens y de empleados de la ciudad.

* La comida se trabaje en forma de castigo, dependiendo tambien de tipo de enfermedad, sea tratado justamente por los agentes de seguridad dentro de la ciudad.

* Que por cargo se tenga el año de experiencia, de deuda a la ciudad, y trato favorable a la ciudad.

* Y por medio de la juventud, que los agarren para entrenamiento militar, dentro de los cargos aplicados y construya en su cercania. *dependiendo del caso. Mientras mas ayudantes tengan los de la construccion mas rapido, le pagan mejor, y los prisioneros aprenden a trabajar.


⦁ ESCUELA DE APRENDIZAJE PARA NIñXS.

Se tengan un promedio de 10 estudiantes por profesor, y asistente.
Que el asistente asista a 3 estudiantes, y el profesor el resto.

* El profesor en su clase de 3 horas al dia + 4-6 horas de analisis de cada estudiante, por dia. reporte al asistente de la secretaria de estudiantes de la clase.

La asistente de la secretaria de clases guarda los reportes y escribe el rendimiento del estudiante, por clase y receta que tipo de aprendizaje se le puede usar, mientras el profesor especifico de la clase, dada los estudiantes preparados, confirmen la hora.

Al profesor luego se le dan 3 semanas de laboratorio por clase.

* Clase laboratorio + reportes de cada estudiante y su rendimiento y abilidad para ver cuanto aprende por clase.

Dado rendimiento dirijira luego mejores resultados. $$$

Personal de trabajo de las instituciones publicas de educacion avanzada.

* Un representante del sindicato de educacion, con titulo de profesor+psyquiatria+administracion. o profesor por categoria como representante de tal sindicato.

* Cada 4 años de cambio, bajo la misma constitucion y derechos, sea o no distinta circunstancia. deuda a la ciudad si en caso de anulacion de las garantias no haya respaldo de gastos debidos al trabajador de cada sindicato. y gerentes del gobierno.

Los mismo pero por municipio.

En el colegio se page por trabajo, calculando el precio de donde se vive.

Por lo mismo lo ideal seria, educacion academica, con instalaciones aptas para cada tipo de actividad, por ende...

* Un  jardin en su centro, pequeño, de cristal, algunas plantas exoticas, el deporte extremo para algunos estudiantes arriesgados, como los niños se divirtieran, segun el coloegio.

* Un area creada por un niño seria una pared de escalar para subir al segundo piso, y un profesor presente.

Como sea planeado para el joven, no para la institucion.

a. Rediseño de la educacion infantil.

Con deportes que hagan del estudiante concentrarse por medio de ejercicios, y ejercicios mentales de educacion, sea tecnica, como laboral en cierta forma.

* Para eso por cada 10 estudiantes, un profesor y su asistente.

Un profesor tecnico por proyectos tecnicos de 3 semanas por clase, o mas dependiendo el tema presentado y el avance de los estudiantes, otro proyecto tecnico, y asi sucesivamente, con certificados por clase(Tecnico).

Ejemplo: Las clases duran un determinado  tiempo, para PRESENTARSE, para establecer agradecimientos y luego estudiar.

a. Clases de presentacion, 1-2 semanas, en el parque.

* El parque tiene la practica del estudio, con sus herramientas.

* Luego, mas avanzado, se toman clases completas de semestre, y de trimestre, en el mismo lapso.

⦁ REFORMA POLICIAL

En una patruya ajustada a los tres representantes de la ciudad(Policias), ciudadania(FBI, NSA, SEBIN, ect.) y humanidad(Derechos Humanos (representante del sindicato(trabajadores de la organizacion pagadas por sus participantes) de los policias, de las agencias del estado, de otros organizamos de seguridad ciudadana(partidos politicos)))

a. Un carro de tres puestos.

Dependiendo de la ofensa llaman a las ballenas. solo dos por 10 policias.

El policia puede cargar un arma, el de la fbi, algo mas, el de los derechos humanos, maneja el carro.

Cada uno,menos el de fbi, tiene camara.

Y que los tres reporten a la ciudad y a sus respectivas organizacion y sindicatos.

* Horarios de 5 horas al dia, por policia, al año $30 000 * rango

* Por fbi- Sebin ## $$$

* Por el de DDHH ## $ dependiendo de lo que gane la ciudad y se pueda sacar algo, de la ciudad, que dependiendo de las riquezas de esta, ganan mas y menos, menos.

* Por semana reportes al publico.

Donde trabajen los reporteros y los politicos.
